Last updated: 28 October 2026

Welcome to Film Burner (www.filmburners.com), an independent film, television and streaming publication operating under the Aestumanda Media Group publishing name.

By using this website, you agree to follow these Terms of Service. Please read them before registering, commenting or submitting content.

1. About our website

Film Burner publishes independent film and television reviews, features, news, analysis and opinion. We are not affiliated with or officially endorsed by any film studio, broadcaster, streaming platform or production company unless expressly stated.

Reviews and opinion articles reflect the views of their authors. We aim to provide accurate and informative coverage, but information may contain inaccuracies or change over time. We may correct, update or remove content at our editorial discretion.

2. Reader accounts and comments

Readers may register for an account to participate in article discussions. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account.

We welcome disagreement and debate, but comments must remain lawful and respectful. You must not:

  • Post threatening, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory or otherwise unlawful material.
  • Harass, intimidate or deliberately target other readers.
  • Publish someone else’s private or confidential information without permission or another lawful basis.
  • Post spam, misleading promotions, malicious links or harmful software.
  • Impersonate another person or misuse another reader’s account.
  • Publish material that infringes another person’s copyright or other rights.

We may review, edit, reject or remove comments that breach these rules or are unsuitable for publication. We may also restrict, suspend or close accounts where necessary.

Comments reflect the views of their authors and do not necessarily represent the opinions of Film Burner.

3. Contributor submissions

We welcome original articles, reviews, features and opinion pieces relating to cinema, television, streaming and film culture.

All submissions must be original, accurate to the best of the contributor’s knowledge, and free from plagiarism, unlawful material or infringement of third-party rights.

Contributors must have the necessary rights and permissions for any material they submit, including quotations, photographs, illustrations and other third-party content.

We do not pay for unsolicited articles unless a separate arrangement has been agreed in writing.

Copyright and ownership: Our policy is that copyright in accepted contributor articles is transferred to the publisher operating Film Burner under the Aestumanda Media Group name. This transfer is agreed through written correspondence with the contributor, including email, before publication. Contributors must expressly agree to the copyright transfer and provide an appropriate signature, which may be electronic.

Following a valid copyright assignment, the copyright owner may edit, publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, republish, syndicate and promote the accepted work, including through associated websites and social media channels, subject to applicable law and any agreed conditions.

Contributors receive an appropriate author credit and biography unless otherwise agreed. Copyright in third-party photographs, film stills, posters, illustrations and other licensed material remains with the respective rights holders unless separately and validly transferred.

Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication. We reserve the right to decline submissions, request revisions, make editorial changes or remove published material where appropriate.

4. Copyright and permitted use

Unless otherwise stated, original articles, reviews, graphics and other editorial material published on Film Burner are protected by copyright.

You may share links to our articles and quote brief extracts with appropriate attribution, provided your use complies with copyright law.

You must not reproduce substantial parts of our original content, republish complete articles, systematically copy our material or use our content commercially without permission or another lawful basis.

Film stills, posters, photographs, trademarks, trailers, video clips and other third-party material remain the property of their respective rights holders and may be subject to separate licences, permissions or applicable copyright exceptions.

Nothing in these terms restricts uses permitted by applicable copyright law.

5. External links and services

Our articles may contain links to external websites, embedded videos, trailers, advertising or information supplied by third parties.

We do not control those external services and cannot guarantee their availability, accuracy or security. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply.

Links to external content do not necessarily imply endorsement.

6. Accuracy and liability

We make reasonable efforts to publish reliable information, but cannot guarantee that every article, review, release date, casting report or other item will always be complete, accurate or up to date.

Content is provided for general information, criticism, commentary and entertainment. Readers should independently verify information where appropriate before relying on it for important decisions.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses arising from reliance on inaccurate or outdated editorial information or from interruptions to website availability.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

These terms do not affect any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

7. Privacy

Information about how we collect and use personal data is available in our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to these terms
